 The "News" Around RBBC

Greetings RBBC Family!

I hope you are doing well! We have much to think and pray about over the next few months as a church family. Summers tend to be the time when many of us slow down but get busier (you can thank John for that phrase!)! I know many of you will be taking vacations and spending time with family. My hope is that we will remain faithful in attendance, prayer, giving, and enthusiasm as a church body. Let me hit a few high points of whats to come over the next few weeks at RBBC.

Pondzy's Pitt Take Home Lunch

Kevin Pond has offered to cook and prepare to-go lunches for our church this Sunday! Plates will include chicken quarters, jambalaya, baked beans, and bread. They will be ready after the morning service for you to take home and enjoy with your family and friends. Cost is $6 per plate. Funds will go to some of the needs of RBBC. Be sure and stop by! Be sure and thank Kevin when you see him!

Sundays Sermon

This Sunday we are ending our On Men Series with a sermon on hobbies and entertainment. I want to think out loud about what it means to glorify God in the things we do in our spare time as men. This has been a great series for me. It has caused me to take a deep look into my own life to see if I am walking in all that God has for me as a man. If you've missed any of the sermons they are all available for free on oursermon page or through our podcast

VBS

VBS will be a little different this year. Our theme is Egypt: Joseph's Journey From Prison To Palace. We are hosting it this year in the evenings of June 13th-17th from 6PM-8:30PM. We already have a lot of volunteers, but we could still use a few more. If you are interested please let us know. If you have not registered your child(ren) you can do so here.

New Series

We are doing a new series beginning in June called The Voices: A Study on the Prophets. This will be unlike any study I've done at RBBC. We will take 18 weeks to look at all the prophets from Isaiah to Malachi. Each Sunday will be a new prophet. My hope is to look at the prophets from 30,000 feet and see what their message means to us.

Youth Camp

The students are leaving for Student Life Camp at Louisiana Tech on May 31. Please pray for their safety and pray that God would do amazing things in their lives that week.

Hope to see you this Sunday!

For Jesus Fame,

Pastor Greg
